Welcome to my blog!
I'm an artist living in a small, charming town in Saskatchewan, a place far removed from the bustling art world. Here, amidst the wide-open prairies and serene landscapes, I find endless inspiration for my eclectic creations. Living in a rural setting has its own unique charm and tranquility.
The slower pace of life allows me to immerse myself fully in my art, drawing from the natural beauty and simplicity that surrounds me. From the golden fields swaying in the wind to the vibrant sunsets that paint the sky, every aspect of my surroundings fuels my creativity.
Creating art is my way of capturing the essence of this place I call home and my life experiences. My works are a blend of different styles and mediums, reflecting the diverse and rich tapestry of life in rural Saskatchewan. Whether it's a whimsical sculpture made from found objects or a vibrant painting that captures the spirit of the local landscape, each piece is a testament to my love for this small town and its unique way of life.
One of the joys of being an artist in a small town is the strong sense of community. Here, everyone knows each other, and there's a deep appreciation for the local culture and traditions. While I may be far from the traditional art world, the support and encouragement I receive from my community are invaluable. They remind me that art is not just about being seen in galleries or museums, but about creating something meaningful and personal. It's about finding joy in the process and sharing that joy with others.
Through this blog, I hope to take you on a journey through my creative process, share the inspirations behind my work, and offer a glimpse into life in this wonderful small town. I also want to share my views of this world we live in from a more basic standpoint as I believe in the goodness of people, that children really don’t change from generation to generation and having money should not be our destination but just part of our journey.
Join me as I explore the intersection of art and rural living, and celebrate the beauty and simplicity that define my life and my art.
Thank you for stopping by, and I look forward to sharing my artistic adventures with you!
